Before I dive into this blog post about career goals, I'll say this one thing...

There was a time when the last thing on my mind was finishing the year strong. The year I lost my dad AND was laid off from my favorite employer because of an acquisition was the toughest year of my life. Finishing the year strong wasn't even on my mind. I just needed to finish the year breathing.

PLEASE allow yourself to opt out of this one if you need to. This year has been brutal for many and I need us to be okay with checking out and simply getting through what's left of it.

As the year winds down, it's time to reflect on your journey, your accomplishments, and your career goals. If you're anything like many of us goal-driven and ambitious moms, you set out at the beginning of the year with aspirations and ambitions. Now, it's your chance to evaluate where you stand, get re-energized, and make that final push toward your goals.

Remember, it's not about overloading yourself; it's about making meaningful progress. What can you realistically accomplish by the end of the year? 

Break it down into manageable steps on paper. Post the note somewhere visible to you at home. 

Your motivation is your driving force. 

• Why do you want to achieve your career goals?
• What impact will it have on your life and your family? 

Identifying your motivation can keep you focused and determined, especially during the year-end push. Is it a better life, more time with your loved ones, or achieving your fullest potential? Keep this motivation front and center in your mind.
